Hi Everyone!

Sorry it takes me a while in between my latest posts. I feel I am never home with a hour to myself to just sit and reflect; which is really why I originally wanted to start this blog… I just got back to California from visiting back home, Connecticut. I was only supposed to go for 5 days and ended up extending my trip because being home with all the people I love and cherish most gives me a happy warm hearted feeling I never want to go away. Decisions we make in life require us to be away from our loved ones and that really sucks most days. Especially with this crazy baseball schedule, I am rarely with Matt and alone out here in Cali, it’s a struggle because part of me never wants to complain about this amazing life I live, but then there are those times when I wake up and go to sleep alone and REALLY miss home. However, at the end of the day, I wouldn’t change a thing.

ok! so, I have 2 new skincare products I want to share and have been using for about 1.5 months now but wanted to make sure I noticed a difference in my skin before telling you about them. If you have read my old posts you know I will try just about everything but lately I am more into the medical grade products instead of just any old over the counter product from Sephora or a drugstore.

Over the counter products do NOT have the same amount of active ingredients that cosmeceuticals have.   They are NOT allowed to under law.   Cosmeceuticals are pharmaceutical grade products that are only available through doctors or licensed aestheticians under a doctors license. Cosmeceuticals contain a much higher amount of active ingredients than you could purchase over the counter and they penetrate past the surface and into the skin the dermis to be exact.

Why are active ingredients important? These are the ingredients that MAKE a change in the skin. Some of the conditions or concerns that most consumers are trying to correct: Hyperpigmentation, Melasma, Acne, Fine lines & Wrinkles, Hydration, Sun Spots etc.

Although I like to try everything, I would rather spend more $$ on products I KNOW have more benefits than having multiple skin care products that you get tired of because they do not work and you throw them in a drawer or trash can. Kind of a waste of $$$$.

The first product Is by Skin Medica and it is the TNS Recovery Serum. It is comprised of natural growth factors, antioxidants, matrix proteins, and soluble collagens, to help restore what time takes away. It comes out like a duel pump and I put it on before my moisturizer morning and night. My skin soaks it right up and I love it.

  • Reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Diminish the appearance of age spots and dyspigmentation.
  • Improve skin texture and elasticity, and reduce photodamage.
  • Reduce roughness and firm skin texture.

The Second product is by NEOCUTIS and is the Lumiere Bio-restorative eye-cream. I love me a good eye cream and this powerful blend of energizing, moisturizing and nourishing ingredients helps provide your eyes with a younger, more refreshed look.

  • Helps alleviate skin puffiness with Caffeine
  • Plumps up the appearance of skin with the hydrating power of Hyaluronic Acid
  • Visibly diminishes the appearance of under eye darkness
  • Soothes and refreshes the delicate eye area to help improve the signs of fatigue

I also picked up the Skin Medica Uplifting eye serum. I like to put it on before I do my makeup or go out- it just really tightens the under eye area.

ENJOY! Have a good week, xoxo
